Kaulig Companies Championship announces tournament field
Today, the Kaulig Companies Championship, scheduled for July 9-12 at Firestone Country Club, announced its 78-player field.
Defending champion Miguel Angel Jiménez returns to Firestone after defeating Steven Alker on the second playoff hole at last year’s Kaulig Companies Championship for his third major title on PGA TOUR Champions. Jiménez is joined by six World Golf Hall of Fame members in the 2026 field: Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, Davis Love III, Colin Montgomerie and Vijay Singh.
Goosen won the 2019 Kaulig Companies Championship, becoming the first player to win the event since it moved to Firestone Country Club. Langer is a three-time winner of this event, capturing the titles in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Singh won this event in 2018 and is also a past winner at Firestone, winning the 2008 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. In addition to Els, who won in 2024, Steve Stricker (2021, 2023) and Jerry Kelly (2020, 2022) are two-time winners of this event at Firestone, while Scott McCarron (2017) and Kenny Perry (2013) round out the past champions in the field.
Stewart Cink sits atop the Charles Schwab Cup standings with a TOUR-leading four victories this season, including back-to-back major wins at the Senior PGA Championship and the Regions Tradition. Cink, the 2004 WGC-NEC Invitational champion at Firestone, is coming off a runner- up finish at last week’s U.S. Senior Open. Zach Johnson, No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings with two wins in his rookie season, is making his Kaulig Companies Championship Debut.
Other notables in the field include 2003 WGC-NEC Invitational winner Darren Clarke, 1998 NEC World Series of Golf winner David Duval and two-time major champion John Daly.
In all, the 2026 field includes 23 PGA TOUR Champions major winners, 16 PGA TOUR major winners, 44 players who have won on PGA TOUR Champions (combining for 225 wins) and 54 players who have won on the PGA TOUR (310 wins).The Kaulig Companies Championship is the fourth of five majors on PGA TOUR Champions in 2026.
