Kaulig Companies Championship announces tournament field

AKRON, Ohio – The Kaulig Companies Championship, scheduled for June 19-22 at Firestone Country Club, announced its 78-player field on Monday.

World Golf Hall of Fame member Ernie Els returns to Firestone after capturing his first major title on PGA TOUR Champions at last year’s Kaulig Companies Championship. Els, currently No. 4 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, is one of six World Golf Hall of Fame members in the 2025 field along with Retief Goosen, Padraig Harrington, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Vijay Singh. Goosen won the 2019 Kaulig Companies Championship, becoming the first player to win the event since it moved to Firestone Country Club. Langer is a three-time winner of this event, capturing the titles in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Singh is a past winner at Firestone, winning the 2008 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Harrington, who is making his Kaulig Companies Championship debut, made 14 appearances at Firestone Country Club from 1999 to 2015, with his best finish a co-runner-up in 2009. In addition to Els and Goosen, Jerry Kelly is a past winner of this event at Firestone, taking home titles in 2020 and 2022. Miguel Angel Jiménez sits atop the Charles Schwab Cup standings as one of two three-time winners this season on PGA TOUR Champions.

Charles Schwab No. 2 Ángel Cabrera is the other three-time winner, capturing each of the first two majors of the 2025 season. Cabrera, who won the Regions Tradition and Senior PGA Championship, looks to become the first player in Champions Tour history to win three consecutive majors contested and the third player to win three consecutive major starts. Two-time Charles Schwab Cup winner Steven Alker is No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, while Els and 2004 WGC-NEC Invitational champion Stewart Cink, sit Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.

Other notables in the field include 2003 WGC-NEC Invitational winner Darren Clarke, 1998 NEC World Series of Golf winner David Duval and two-time major champion John Daly. In all, the 2025 field includes 25 PGA TOUR Champions major winners, 17 PGA TOUR major winners, 56 players who have won on PGA TOUR Champions (combining for 278 wins) and 53 players who have won on the PGA TOUR (288 wins). The Kaulig Companies Championship is the third of five majors on PGA TOUR Champions in 2025.
